from the nearest sandy beach at Saunton Sands. The next
beach along is Croyde followed by Putsborough and Woolacombe
- pictured below. The village of Pilton offers
a quaint selection of stores, two character pubs, tea
rooms and a fish and chip takeaway.
The town centre
amenities of Barnstaple including the famous pannier

Pilton is on the coastal-side of Barnstaple for easy
access to the world-renowned surfing beaches at Croyde,

there is the North Devon Coastal Path, and several
nature reserves such as Braunton Burrows - the country's
first Unesco biosphere reserve.
The delightful 'Tarka Trail',
can be easily accessed from the property, where
cyclists and walkers can follow the path of the
old railway, all the way to Torrington, by way of Barnstaple
and Instow. Also within reach are Exmoor, Dartmoor,
Lynmouth and Lynton, Lundy Island, Clovelly and
the Eden project.
